THE 2009-10 THEATRE SEASON
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
Simply one of the funniest plays ever written, this no-holds-barred slapstick farce full of pratfalls, double crosses, twisted accents, and sardines follows one very mediocre theatre company's attempt to stage a very funny British farce, only to have everything that can possibly go wrong go wrong.  Act One shows the company the night before its opening; Act Two turns the entire set around and the audience sees the exact same show, but this time from backstage; Act Three follows the company numerous weeks later where no one seems to know what's going on. A rollercoaster of hilarity that will have the audience laughing until it hurts -- a lot!
THURSDAY, FRIDAY, & SATURDAY
NOVEMBER 12-14, 2009
7:35PM
Based on the true story of David and Sonja Saar's son, Benjamin, who was born with congenital hemophilia, and died in 1987 at the age of 8 of AIDS related complications. A uniquely gifted visual artist, Benjamin's buoyant imagination transformed his physical and emotional pain into a blaze of colors and shapes in his fanciful drawings and paintings. A powerfully personal story of a family coming to grips with life, death, creativity, honesty and truth -- and leading the audience on a voyage of self-discovery that will forever sear the lessons of the importance of family, acceptance and the value of living forever in their hearts.

MIFA FESTIVAL BEGINS JANUARY 30

FRI, FEB 5TH ~ 21st BOOSTERS DINNER THEATRE @ 6:35PM

One of the great classics of the American musical theatre, The Music Man is Meredith Willson's crowning achievement, weaving the fun, upbeat, infectiously giddy story of a fast-talking con man in small-town Iowa at the turn of the century who tries to convince some mid-American folks of the "trouble" their town is in and how his mythical boys band will save them--all the time hoping not to get his foot caught in the door. Featuring such classics as "76 Trombones", "Goodnight My Someone", "Lida Rose" and "Shippoopi", the non-stop family fare will feature a huge children's ensemble from the district's elementary and middle schools.
