Off Squirrel Road between South Blvd and Auburn Rd

Now that might not mean a lot to you, so....

From points North and Northwest

I-75 South to Exit #77A (M-59 Freeway/Eastbound)

M-59 for about 1/2 mile to Squirrel Road exit

Turn right.  Follow Squirrel Road to stop light, that's Auburn Road.  Turn right.

Take a quick left onto Squirrel Road (again).

Go about 1/4 mile.

Waukegan in on the right side only.  Old Avondale Administration Building and Marquee are on the corner.

Turn right and follow Waukegan until ends in the AHS parking lot.  The tall part of the building you see first with no exterior markings is the theatre.

From points Northeast

M-59 Westbound to Squirrel Road exit (the last one before I-75).  Go through the light (wait for it to turn green), and turn left onto Squirrel (south bound).  Follow same directions above from there.

From points South

I-75 North to Exit #74 (Adams Road).

Turn left at end of swooping ramp to Northbound Adams.

First traffic light is South Blvd, turn left (west)

First traffic light is Squirrel Rd, turn right (north)

3/4 mile up Squirrel is Waukegan, on left only.  Turn left and follow Waukegan until it ends in the AHS parking lot.

From points South and West

Telegraph Rd North to Hickory Grove (between Long Lake and Square Lake Rd).  Turn right (east) onto Hickory Grove.

Follow about two miles until it ends at a stop sign on Opdyke Rd.  Turn left (north).

Take Opdyke past the GM Centerpoint Plant complex about 1.5 miles to South Blvd.  Landmarks include a Mobil Gas Station on the right, a BP station of the left.

Turn right (west) onto South Blvd.  Take for a bit over a mile, over the I-75 freeway to the next major intersection at Squirrel Road.  Landmarks include a Frank's Nursery and Rite Aid on the left.  Follow directions listed in the previous section above.

The Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association will hold its March committee meetings for both Theatre and I.E. at Avondale HS on Sunday, March 4th from Noon - 5pm

All committee members should plan to attend and all directors and IE coaches are invited.

Please enter the school through the Theatre Lobby entrance (adjacent to the tallest area of building.
